My New Health Blog
I am kicking around the idea of starting another blog about trying to get healthy. I don't eat right (I don't eat a lot...just the wrong foods at the wrong time and not enough of the right foods), I hate exercise, and I have thyroid disease which really messes with my metabolism. As you can see, I have an uphill battle (an uphill battle would exercise my derriere though wouldn't it?). I am hoping that writing about this will keep me going because I tend to lose willpower after a few days...ok, maybe a few hours.
For instance, the other day I went to reach for a Slim-Fast bar. Then I realized I'd rather eat than chew on a bar that tastes like cardboard. My husband laughed at me. He eats protein bars every day so this is nothing to him. It's a lot to me. If I don't enjoy the taste, I won't eat it. Period.
I have a rebound trampoline that I could use. I've had it a year and barely used it. It's covered wtih dust in my basement right now. We used to have a treadmill but we gave it to my father-in-law to use. I haven't looked into treadmills lately but I probably should. I have plenty of exercise DVD's and videos. That might help if I'd dust those off.
What I would LOVE is to take a belly dancing class. I would get exercise while learning a fun (sensual) dance that would have other uses. *wink wink*
Anyhow, back to the original topic...I am trying to get this new blog set up so it will be what I want it to be. I'll post a link here when I have it done.
