Personalized Gifts for Moms Like Me

What's on your Christmas list for mom?  I have no clue yet, myself.  My husband told me this morning that a friend of his was buying his wife a $400 flat iron for Christmas because it has some animal print on it that matches her curling iron.  *falls over*  I could never spend that much money on something like that - I tend to like the personalized gifts for mom. I saw this beautiful Celtic Knot Family Birthstone Necklace online at Personal Creations that I would love.  I am all about the Celtic knots and my four kids so it's one idea.

Monogrammed Baby Gifts on Sale at Baby Stuff Gifts

Baby Stuff Gifts is having a really great sale right now.  If you order now through September 15, 2010, you can get 15% off your entire order!  That's a really good discount for personalized baby gifts.  I love the monogrammed baby gifts, like the monogrammed receiving blankets.  The little monogrammed hooded towel for after baby's bath would look so cute too!

I just love babies - baby smell (well, the good after bath smell, not the dirty diaper smell), cuddling the little babies, watching their little fingers curl around your own, the tiny clothes and gifts.  I LOVE babies.  I was just telling my husband this past week that I needed to hold a newborn baby again.  He about freaked out because he thought I meant I wanted another baby.  I had to carefully explain to my almost 45-year-old husband of six kids that I meant I needed to hold someone ELSE's newborn baby for a little while to get the baby fix in and then give him or her back.  Geez!  Almost gave my old man a heart attack.

Though when I start shopping for other people's babies, and seeing all the tiny clothes and personalized toys, the baby urge hits.  It goes away...but then it comes back.  It always comes back.

Going to Visit Family After 4 Years

My family lives in another state so I don't see them very often. We're making our first trip back soon. It's been about four years!

One sister is due at about that time to have her baby. I'm hoping she'll give birth by then so there will be a little one to cuddle while there. I've definitely been missing the babies since mine are now beyond that stage. What I like now is that I am able to give them back after I get the cuddles out of the way.

I've been looking for a gift to get for the newest addition and came across this baby blanket. I was aiming more towards personalized baby gifts and this is perfect. If she will be anything like one of her brothers, she'll be attached to a blankie as well.

Last I heard, they were still undecided on the spelling of the name though. With all the baby names available, who can blame them. It's a big decision.

Personalized Gifts

Before my stepdaughter became the hormonal teenager she is today, I bought her a personalized Pocahontas storybook. It told the story of Pocahontas but included her name, along with her siblings, in the book. She loved it!

Nowadays, you can still get personalized books, but you can also get personalized DVD's, personalized gifts such as stuffed animals who sing your child's name, personalized letters and poems, personalized sport broadcasts, and for the teen/adult, personalized keepsakes for mom, dad, graduates, weddings, retirement and more.

I like the idea of personalized gifts because it gives you the feeling that somebody cared to put time into your gift and made it really personal for you. For kids, what kid wouldn't get a kick out of seeing their name in a story or their name sung in a DVD? I like this idea.
At Kids Personally, you can get all of what I mentioned above and more to really give your kids or other loved ones something personal they will remember and enjoy.
