Bad Hair Cuts

What do you do when you get a bad haircut? Get it fixed right? What do you if they botch it so badly, cut it so short, that you can't get it fixed until it grows out again?

Well, if you're me, you get really ticked off! I do not look good in short hair. I never wanted to have short hair again and the shortest I wanted to go was to my shoulders. On Friday, I went to get my hair cut to my shoulders and highlighted. I hadn't had my hair highlighted in several years and I had christmas money from my husband's parents I had to spend before they come see us. I figured I'd splurge and get my hair done.

What a mistake!

I picked out the picture of what I wanted in a cut, showed her and told her what I wanted for highlights. The cut is AWFUL and there is not a dang thing I can do about it to get it fixed because it is just too short. In the back, it is on my neck and layered real short up into the crown but the sides and bangs are longer. WTH was she thinking? There is nothing left in the back to get it fixed! It looks absolutely nothing like the picture. I've had the cut in the picture before so I know it is possible with my hair. I am so mad. It is going to take months to get it to where it will be long enough to fix it. It's not like I can pull it into a ponytail until then because there isn't enough in the back for a ponytail!

My husband said, "Well didn't you see how short she was cutting it?" Yes, but her first snip was too late already! She put the hair in one ponytail and cut that off. When she was measuring with the ponytail, she was in between my shoulder blades so I thought she was cutting it where I wanted until she sawed off the ponytail and I felt what she'd done. All of it was gone. All of it. There was no going back at that point, no fix that could fix it.

I guess I will pull the sides back and be done with it until it grows out. How disappointing. I wouldn't have spent $80 in there if I'd had any idea she'd mess it up so badly. I can think of a lot of other things to do with $80 that I'd rather have than crappy hair.

UGH. What a tough spot to be in - especially when all you can do is wait for it to grow out. :(

Sorry girl - I hate it when that sh*t happens.

My husband likes it. My sister likes it. I miss my longer hair. Maybe I will get used to it...optimism I don't really feel, lol.
