4 Year Old Attitude

This is my littlest one. She is starting to become "one of them" (like her older siblings) as opposed to our baby. Her vocabulary is going through a growth spurt right now. Some of the stuff that comes out of her mouth is funny.

She's started to walk like she's got junk in her trunk and she's proud of it! She had an older sibling tell her this morning that she walks funny. Her response was, "I walk like a girl."

That girl has a lot of wiggle! She's going to be trouble when she's a teenager. I can see it already.

Girls vs. Boys

My husband had a three-day weekend this weekend so he's home. I was thinking we'd light a candle, spend some quiet time together...

Oh wait, he's dead tired from adjusting to normal hours after 3rd shift, the Monsters vs. Aliens birthday party we had for my son today, playing volleyball with the kids, and three kids sleeping over making seven kids here right now). Guess we won't be getting any quiet time together tonight, lol.

From the way it sounds above my head right now, the kids are having a blast. I think I'm going to have to check on them several times because I have a feeling that there are going to be girls vs. boys pranks tonight between the kids. I told the kids no make up, no nail polish, and stay out of cabinets and drawers. I'm hoping I eliminated any messy plans they may have had.

Mud and Dog Poop Part 2

We found the bat. We went out looking the next morning. The little bugger is still alive. We put him in Tupperware (major EWWWWW factor) and called the vet and health department. Nobody seems that concerned but the canine culprit who was chewing on the bat gets an appointment for a rabies shot. She still had immunity from her last one but was due so she got it. The puppy is too young for a rabies vaccine so if she was bit and the bat had rabies...

They're shipping the bat to be tested. We should know by next Friday (except that's a government holiday so I'm hoping it'll be the Thursday before and not the following Monday). The two dogs who came in contact with the bat are being kept away from the kids until the test results come in. The vet didn't think it was necessary but I do. I don't see the point of taking the risk with the kids.

So that's the status of that. Fingers crossed that the results are negative.

More Early Christmas Shopping

If you know somebody who loves candles, there is a great candle, called the Wood Wick Candle, that lasts a long time, comes in many different fragrances, and sounds like a crackling fire. I'd never heard of these until today.

The wick is made from an organic wood. Who knew?

I am going to find one that has jasmine in it for my mother-in-law. She loves jasmine. I want the Wine Berry or the Mandarin Vanilla Fusion Candle for myself too. The Fusion candles are in hand-blown glass. It's an artistic piece, fragrance, plus the wood wick sounds like a crackling fire.
