Not Going Into Life Insurance Industry

I've pretty much decided at this point not to sell life insurance from home. It seems like that opportunity with that particular company has gone up in flames. I can still change my mind over the next couple of months. I have that long before my life, accident and health certificates expire and I have to retake the classes again.

With the Internet, things are at people's fingertips anyway. You can find term life insurance online quotes now. I know that whatever I can do on the Internet, I take advantage of too so why wouldn't others. It's just so much more convenient.

Long Hair Funny

Saw this on Dear Abby online just now and thought it was cute:

"The first five years of marriage, your husband wants you to have long hair. The second five years, your husband wants his daughter to have long hair. The next five years, he wishes HE had some hair."

My husband tells me I could wear short hair or be bald and he wouldn't care as long as it was what I wanted but then when I wanted to cut my waist-length hair, he didn't want me too. I cut it anyway, lol. He's not the one who has to deal with it everyday. Now, if he wanted to wash it, dry it, and tame the frizz in it instead, he was welcome to (didn't get any offers). It was cut shoulder length in July and is now already longer again (it grows so fast). I guess all men have their ideas on what they like.

As kids, my father didn't want us cutting our hair short and rarely was my hair short (junior high). I would prefer my girls have long hair too. I love their hair long, however, if they want it short, they can cut it short (and have). It is their hair. My son, he's growing his out because he wants it long. I'd like to buzz his head, lol. Their heads, their choice, as long as they take care of it. My husband is growing his out too and I definitely want to buzz his.

We have "freebies" (we can lust after certain celebrities without the other getting upset, lol). For my husband, it's been Angelina Jolie. Then it was Piper from Charmed. Who was the one before Kate Beckinsale? Shoot! I can't remember. I find out last night that Kate Beckinsale is the latest freebie. Oh wait! Jessica Alba was before Kate Beckinsale.

He sure does change a lot! I still lust after Johnny Depp and Jon Bon Jovi as my freebies. I'm constant...he's all over the place.

I wonder if everybody gets freebies or if we're weird?

Blessed Imbolc

The wheel of the year turns again to Imbolc (or St. Brigid's Day). Brigid is the Celtic triple goddess and goddess of fire.

Though many of us were hit with a huge snow storm last week, spring is coming. Don't believe it? It's there. February may be a dreary month (we're all tired of the cold and the pure white snow is now mud-colored and not so pretty anymore). I think of the plants stirring under ground, starting to wake up.
